FAQs

How long does slow drip coffee stay fresh?
This type of brewing for coffee tastes better fresh but can be stored for up to two weeks in airtight container left in the refrigerator.

Can I heat up cold brew?
Yes, give it a try!

Can I use an Aeropress paper filter instead of the splash filter?
Yes, the Aeropress paper filter works really well to disperse water over the coffee grounds, you just need to cut around 3mm off from around the edge of the filter to fit it in the Aeropress chamber.

The drips are stopping!
Make sure you are using ice water. This helps to reduce the size of air bubbles passing through the filter which may interrupt the flow.

The drips are erratic!
Check that the side vent holes are not blocked by water, a quick blow into the holes should fix this.
note: The drip method can be sensitive to environmental temperatures and humidity so adjust your drip rate to suit a 2.5-3hr brew time.

I accidentally lost the splash filter!
No problem. We now have replacement splash filters for sale through our website and local retailers.

Its taking too long
The drip method can be sensitive to environmental temperatures and humidity so adjust your drip rate to suit a 2.5-3hr brew time.

The grounds are dry when I finish a brew
We would suggest to try pre-wetting the grounds, sometimes with coffee that may be a bit older than 30 days past the roast date the grounds need pre-wetting. Pour about 30-40 ml of water over the grounds first and then remove that amount of water from what you place in the vessel or water bottle.

Can I use a metal filter instead of the Aeropress paper filters?
Yes!
